It really wasn't that bad of an answer. You'd be surprised what people will do if you just ask, and asking a friend to hangout isn't crazy. You're a twat, so you don't have a chance in hell with this chick, but if you were as good of friends as you say, then you could definitely get her to meet up with you to catch up.
