Should I bother asking anymore?

There's a guy I really want to get to know. Without asking him out one on one, I asked him if he'd ever want to come out with me and some of my friends (of both sexes.) He said "when?" And I said I don't know yet ( I hadn't actually planned anything) and then he said that he doesn't socialise much and doesn't know if he will be able to come, but "always ask me anyway."

He's so frustrating. Why couldn't he just say no? Why would he say he doesn't socialize and doesn't know, but to "always ask?"

Would an uninterested guy bother adding that, after he'd already said he doesn't socialize much?

He's not very social but would at least like to be able to consider the option of attending. Better to be asked and have to decline than not be asked at all.

Question for you: would you be satisfied with a boyfriend who doesn't want to socialise often? If you're a social person, he'd be quite a drag.

He said "When?" and you replied, "I don't know." So he might be confused.

When you know when, give him a call and ask him.
