How do people differentiate Alphas and Betas?
What makes them Alphas and what makes them Betas?

From what I've read, Alphas seem to be : Good smelling, well groomed men with a nice haircut, color matching clothes, a waxed chest, back, unibrow and a shaved dick.

Am I wrong or is this actually what makes you an Alpha?

I think theres more than looks. In school you will see class most popular guy and also there will be oposite of that - beta guy. Alpha are also about social aproval and basicaly having society aproved things that raises your value like good looks, cool friends and money or something material like car for example. These 3 things is what makes alpha. Beta lacks these things.

Since I've started rocking the 5-o'clock shadow and got a nice haircut, chicks are acting differently towards me.

Two weeks ago they wouldn't even look at me and now, whenever I sit somewhere, I end up with a crowd of chicks next to me.
Most of them try to get my attention by acting like retards too.

For example, this morning, some chick asked me "what time is it?" when she had her iPhone on.
She was obviously trying to get my attention so, I decided to play along and ended up getting her phone number.

Or yesterday, I could see this one chick looking at me during class.
So, i played along and looked at her using my peripheral vision.
Then, when i felt the timing was right, i turned around and waved at her.
You should've seen the confused and embarrassed look on her face.

It's quite hilarious how powerful a nice shave and haircut is.
I used to think the whole Alpha and Beta thing was bullshit but now, I'm seriously starting to believe the advices my PUA friend gave me.

What makes someone an "alpha male" is buying into the medieval gender roles society has had for so long. A guy that fits into that category of the stereotypical guy is an alpha male- able to take charge when needed and be independent, whereas his partner is more the submissive and a tiny bit more dependent. It sounds pretty harsh (and someone will probably call me ridiculous for saying so), but it's true. The alpha male image is a direct spawn of sexism and stereotypical gender roles..

Personally, I'd prefer a unique kind of guy- somewhat alpha but mostly equal.

Lol looking good and taking care of yourself is obviously going to gain you more attention. Who wants to be with someone scruffy? I personally hate long hair and facial hair on men. That doesnt make you an alpha. Alpha is normally seen as a bad thing so if your a nice guy-dont change.
