Long distance thing with same girl... again?

Hello LoveForum! Aren't we a lovely bunch.

I'll get straight to it...

Over a year and a half ago - Both broke up from each other ( long distance ) became a bit messy, communication broke down about 'what WE were'. Lasted 6 month with about 10 weekend visits. ( was passionate/intense when good )

Past month been talking again, (very friendly) was near her local town few days ago on other business so arranged to meet.

Met up - Things went amazing, very happy to see one another. Possibly a spark. (Agreed to do something else next time we meet (other than a drink))

Continued to make friendly conversation via whatsapp.

She is shy and a bit of a worrier, and does not express her intentions / feelings freely.


I'm wondering if I should risk it all and confess I want more. Something more casual, where we can both lay the ground rules first so we both know what we're in for (with it being long distance(and we're relatively young early to mid 20s)).

How could I approach her with my intentions in a way as to not scare her off but to have her agree to trying something out?
Should I just drop the bomb, or work towards it?
