I've had to initiate every texting conversation, and i ask all the questions but she answers them with a decent amount of information and almost always uses lol or haha and inserts a lot of smiley faces. i sit next to her in class, is she just afraid to make things awkward and is being nice or is she interested? we went on 1 date and it's been about a week since then but it's spring break and we agreed we would hang out again after

Yup, ask her for another date and no more overthinking text messages... SPEAKING is the original texting and it's soooo much better. Most of all, the more you do it the more confidence you'll garner to be able to do it more often etc. etc.
