Mixed Messages

My boyfriend has had really bad stomach flu for the past week, which i have tried to help him through but I struggle because I have a phobia of vomit. My mother messaged him on facebook telling him this, but he says he would like to distance himself from her messaging him because he said it was too much. Does this simply mean he wants my mother to back off, or do you think he's had enough of the entire situation? He is less enthusiastic about everything and says he just feels "meh" just now. Its really affecting me because I feel like he doesnt want to see me anymore. He has told me that he loves me and that there is not a problem but I'm having trouble believing him. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated.

Why on earth is your mother messaging your boyfriend? Of course he thinks its "too much" because it is.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised that he is backing off from you because you're not grown up enough to handle your own affairs and you get your mommy to do things for you still.

Leave him alone for now and let him come to you when he starts to miss you. While you're waiting for him, work on your "fear of vomit." If you ever have kids you're going to need to get over that. Also Kindly ask your mother to stop messaging him and getting involved.
