It is typical of women/girls to avoid any kind of confrontation that would lead to disappointing someone. Oh well, you will have your answer soon enough. Sorry things didn't work out.

Sigh, missed opportunity i think here dude. Play it cool , like you said. Dont pester this one as she seems easily bored and volatile.
Yeah, but I don't see the confrontation in replying or sending a text just to say thanks but no thanks.
Sure, it's easier to say nothing, but it's hardly good manners. What do they count for anyhow? Manners? Like opening the door for your date, paying the bill, buying flowers... etc. The expectations seem to be considerable. But when a guy at leasts expects the person he is dating to have the decency to at least 'tell' them that they're no longer interested, then that's expecting too much.
No, just ignoring them is the way forward.
It's funny, when people want or think they can get something, they'll turn on the charm. But when they realise that the person they're dating is not for them, that same person isn't even worth a crumb of respect.
I'm sick of cowardly bullshit like this, and I'm pissed off at myself for wasting my time on these people :-/

That's why you don't invest too much into them and get your hopes up. It's only a 3rd date.......move on quickly if they don't recipocate right away.
If you're comfortable moving things along then go for it, because her kissing you was like a "green light" to fully pursue her. On the other hand, you're not sure if your that into her and I could see that you don't want to start something you can't finish. I'd start making moves though and figure out the rest as I go along. Honestly, you should take advantage of a chick who is showing you what she wants, it's often a bunch of mixed signals and your just left to figure shit out on your own.
This behavior is also typically viewed by the person as "trying to be nice" about it, as if that makes any sense. Letting someone down sucks no matter how you cut it, but being up front is so much better than hiding it or ignoring it.
Unfortunately you should probably get used to it if you plan on dating women. I'm not saying they're all like this, but generally speaking most are. Its a wonder men live shorter lives, having to decipher and process their crap has the same effect on my brain as a few months of binge drinking (and typically leads to that anyway). Oh well, at least its the bed-wetting years...jokes on them.
ps- try not to become as bitter as me![]()
If you are not in bed by the 3rd date then it's going nowhere.
I've read this here and there, and the only thing I have to say about it is: bull.
Not everyone lives by the 3-date rule that someone, who probably doesn't even know what a real relationship is, decided to conjure-up.
How stupid people must be to think they need to abide by someone elses nonsense 'rules'.
I'm in bed with people when we both decide its right, third date or not. Simple. And if that means passing up on opportunities, fine, because I'm not out to get laid. If I want that I can skip the dating and go on the pull instead.

Sex by the 3rd date tells me that, it's only for the sex. I wait for at least 3 weeks if I want a serious relationship.
Maybe what she meant by taking things slow, is not going by sex on the third date rule....like giving it some time to get to know each other before you have sex.
