    I second the don't tan!

I get all kinds of stares from people because I have some pretty bad scars on my arms (stupid teenager). That hasn't stopped be from finding people to be with, and sometimes it works as a conversational piece for people who need help or a story to help someone else they know.

Self confidence is key. You'll find someone.

Stretch marks are no big deal, but just how much extra skin are you talking about? Like old lady bingo wings flapping about?

Skin can be stretched like that by growing muscle mass rapidly. I am guessing that is what girls would assume happened.

You're a guy... scars can always be attributed to recklessness in youth... I'd say, go with it...
"The weakest soul, knowing its own weakness, and believing this truth that strength can only be developed by effort and practice, will, thus believing, at once begin to exert itself, and, adding effort to effort, patience to patience, and strength to strength, will never cease to develop, and will at last grow divinely strong."

There is skin on my arms that is soft and whatnot. I'm not at the point where the muscles have filled in the skin.

A lot of exercise, and a lot more water. 2 gallons a day at one point. Ate a lot less too.

Then what are they staring at? I think you're mistaken. A few girls pointed out my stretch marks, asking about the.

It seems that oils are good for stretch marks.

You're hot. I know it's hard to wrap your brain around that when you used to be over weight.

    Let me say it again...

    You're hot.

If they're asking about your stretch marks it's because they were already staring at your sexy muscles.

You're hot now, deal with it and move on.

I appreciate the encouragement, and I'm not getting wrapped up in flattery, for the record, but I think you guys are only thinking about the pictures. If you look closely, you can see some of the flab there. I'm still working on all of it, but it's a slow process, and girls won't see where I came from. I'm not sure if they'll buy the whole "I was 286lbs" thing.

But I truly thank you guys.

I doubt most women would have a problem with them. It's probably just something you notice more because of your anxiety about them.

I also think that it's better to learn to love ourselves "flaws" and all. When you start getting older and your body inevitably starts doing all kinds of things you don't want it to do, you'll be able to deal with it.

Kudos on the weight loss! I've been struggling with my weight lately and it's not always easy to lose the pounds! I'd take stretchmarks over the extra weight anyday.
