I understand that people want to pray about it because it makes them feel better about it and who knows, maybe it will help, but this is something that should take place in the churches, NOT IN THE ****ING STATE LEGISLATURE.

Even if that magical solution doesn't exist, calling a prayer is ridiculous.

Yes, it is. BUT, to people living in those coastal communities, it's not, and they are the ones who will be voting in the next election. Calling for prayer is probably just another way to keep those in power where they are.
