This reminds me
I need to find time to teach guitar lessons
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
God or the Devil

Hah! This thread just reminded me that my daughter quit going to guitar lessons because she was creeped out by the way her guitar instructor looked at her. She's taught herself to play instead.
God. All I've been doing for the last 4 days is playing. I can't tear myself away from the guitar long enough to make toast, let alone real food. I call it the "guitar diet".
He's going to let me know when he next has a concert. I'm gonna be a groupie. (just kidding... not doing the pursuing anymore...)
One of my strings just broke. (The D, not as much fun to joke about.) Thank God guitar strings aren't expensive, if one of my violin strings broke right now I'd have to not eat for 4 days to pay for a new one. But my bedtime ritual of playing guitar (well, all-day ritual really) has been shattered and now I can't practice and impress cute german guitar boy (that's his new nickname, they all need nicknames.)
Grrrr. The string I got has a loop end and I need a ball end! And the music stores are closed till Monday!!!
edit: the bright side is, I have discovered that with minor modification, "Blackbird" can be played without the D string.

Oh, it's insanely easy to put on a D string without a ball end. Why didn't you tell me, Carl???
