I need to curb my shyness

I'm not always shy, but sometimes. I'm not shy around my friends, but sometimes around people I just meet. I'm really shy toward girls though, wtf. Can I cure this? It's driving me crazy

It takes practice, but you can improve in this area.

Shy people are too self-focused. Stop focusing all of you energies on worrying about your own discomfort level. Try thinking and acting in a way in which you put the other person's comfort level foremost in your mind, just as you would do if you had a very important guest coming to your house.

You can practice this on anyone at anytime, and you will improve with practice. Then your confidence level will improve.

that show is awesome! Well shh! since you put it that way I gues i'm going to try that out today at work. See I go in and out of these phases every few weeks, i think i might be bi polar or something, but anyway i'll be hella cool for like a week than i sink down into quietness and don't talk much. I dunno, i'm a genious so that might be it.

seriously shh had a good point. If you meet someone your worried how you come off. Think of how that other person feels, probably the same way. So if you try to make them comfortable they feel easier to talk. When you first meet soemone a lot goes through your head, but if you those aside and focu on the other person it makes it easier.. Imagine them feeling the same way you do and how you would want someone to make you feel and act on it. It will makes things much easier to handle and talk to them.
