want to be friends again with ex

So the story is, I went out with this chick that goes to same school as me for around 4 months and as the winter holiday began, which lasted about 1 month gradually ruined our relationship as we both travelled to another country. After we got back from the holiday, she lost the emotion of love towards me though i still had feelings for her. She decided to break up with me and i was pretty much angry and somewhat depressed with it and i moved on with it after a while.
With that situation, it has been around 2 years since i talked to her. I want her back as friends (just friendship) but i have no idea how i am going to do that.

I just wanna hear some opinions from you guys of how to gain friendship and try to achieve my goal with her. Thanks in advance

did it end on bad terms? do you have mutual friends...why is it a goal to be friends with her again?

well not really a goal but yeah i just want to be friends, i guess i was exaggerating a bit.
not really bad terms, she just lost the feeling towards me and she decided to break up.
i used to be good friends with her friends even before i was going out with her but then after we broke up, we just stopped talking :S

I will advice you to stay away from her coz if you try to talk to her, your feelings can come again and it is a call for disaster. If she hasn't tried to talk to you in 2 years then I don't think she needs you anyway.
