Are you smarter than your other half?

    Random question for you

Do you feel comfortable being the more 'intelligent one', or take pride in the fact that your (potential) partner is the more intellectually superior?
Would you prefer to date a smart wo/man or a ditsy wo/man?

In some ways, I am. I'd say I'm the more clever monkey, probably solve 3-d puzzles faster, stuff like that, but he's really good at his own stuff, like being able to focus on problems and solve them thoroughly.

I think I'm the academically stronger one, but where I am weak, he becomes strong in the Physical department, of hands on things such as cooking (because I cannot cook to save the world) lol

He's smarter at technological things and math. I'm more gifted when it comes to reading, spelling, and literature.

He always tells me I'm smarter than he is. I think we're pretty even.

However, he's much better at math.....I hate it. He can't spell to save his life, though. I have to edit all his huge reports for work because there's a lot of things that spellcheck misses.....like using "there', 'their', and 'they're' in the wrong context.

Woah... so Scientifically so far I can see women are good with words and men are good with numbers... That is also true in my case, though his number skills are only slightly better than mine (we both kind of loathe mathematics).

I'm quite good at math and was much better than my ex's. My downfall is my grammar.
It wouldnt bother me if i dated someone more intelligent than me(its not hard lol) or someone less intelligent.
I find common sense a more important factor than academic intelligence.

Word on the common sense. I could never be with a flake, even if he was a genius. Would drive me nuts.

I'm ahead in that department, she's ahead in terms of good attitude and being a social butterfly. It does bother me a fair bit sometimes.

My bf is more intelligent than I am overall. However I know a lot more about certain things. My topics include more of the social sciences particulary the criminology. So I know a heck a lot more about our justice system and all that.

But in terms of "overall" smartness I would say he'd take the cake. Finances, life, cars, english and random facts he'll take the cake.

She's my other half. I wouldn't even begin to imagine making comparisons. We're two, yet also one.

My boyfriend is less intelligent, and it bothers me a bit. His vocabulary is quite poor, meanwhile he reads and I do not. For example, he had something on the bridge of his nose, which I pointed out and he kept touching the tip.

He is also less socially aware which boggles my mind considering each of our backgrounds.

I don't have another half, but in general, the guys who have really liked me have been (or seemed) less intelligent. The guys I have really liked have been more intelligent. I don't think I could be with someone who was much dumber than me. I hate taking the lead in every conversation. I need someone I can learn from.
