I think my boyfriend isnt over his ex

Me and my boyfriend have been together for a year now, and when we first started dating he couldn't stop talking about her. He even had there prom picture from high school framed. They broke up because they said they weren't ready for a relationship and have been messing with each other since then. they even have each others name tattooed on each other. But after I told him to stop talking to her he dead. But once in a while after that he would call her or she would call him. And to this day she keeps sending him friend requests on Facebook. I mean he says he's over her now but I just have that gut feeling ever since he got a new job painting houses around where she lives. I dOnt know what to do. Part of me wants to end things so they can b happy but on the other hand, he says he doesn't wanna be with her. Help!!!

You have to sex it up more with him enough to make her a thing of the past......but me personally I would dump him, because don't it feel like you are there for the short term til things are right for them to try again?
