when you like someone, they know it, you go on a date with them or multiple dates, yet they pick someone else in the end. It's part of the game, but man does it hurt.

All I can d is think...where did I go wrong? Was I coming on to strong? What if I would have met her a few weeks earlier?

It happens, and it will happen again. Learn to not invest yourself so early in a relationship and learn to not dwell on your rejections/failures. Have you ever seen the jerks picking up so many women? I'm sure you have. It happens that way because the jerks don't invest themselves emotionally and it allows them to be confident and relaxed. Don't be a jerk, but learn from the way they operate. Don't get all wrapped up in one woman unless you know for certain that she feels the same about you.

Like said above, don't invest too much in an early stage. Relax, enjoy meeting new people and have fun while you do that. I find that the more people you meet the less you are inclined to get all wrapped up in one person. It doesn't mean you are being a jerk. Just know that there are people with whom you might have a better connection. This works both way! There is really no point of dwelling on people who don't feel the same way about you cos you should be busy having fun with other people who'd want to spend time with you!
