    Am I wasting my time?

There's this girl that i REEEEAAAAALY like.....I'm starting to think I'm in love with her. We've known each other since early March, and since then we've done a lot of stuff together, even held hands and fallen asleep together, just never kissed or did anything further. Anyways, one day I sat her down and had a talk with her about what was going on between us. She said she wasn't sure. Then she said she wasn't sure what she wanted, but currently didn't want a dating relationship. Her reasoning is that she doesn't want to ruin friendship between her, me, and 2 other friends that always hang out together. She asked me if I was wanting to start a relationship and so I told her that I did. Well, this summer, she and I come home from school, and so we happen to live in the same town, and the other 2 friends live in another state. Am I wasting my time still trying to start something with her right now, or is this summer a golden opportunity to try something considering the whole ruining friendship's thing will kinda be out of the picture now.

Friendship is over-rated. Go for it.

    yeah thats what i said.....

looks like it's all a dream....apparently i'm not her type, according one of her really close friends. what pisses me off is that i don't ever get a definitive no, which is 10x better than maybe, cuz "maybe" always leaves you wanting more and wondering what might happen. i'm really pissed off right now.....i punched a concrete wall last night....i'm gonna explode....guess im not used to friends holding hands and acting like theyre gonna hook up....*****

    "Friends holding hands"

That is a sad situation to be in. It just means you, or one of you, know you shouldn't be together, or are not right for each other, but afraid to say no because you also don't know what you want.

    You waited too long dude.

Now you're nothin' but a brother to her.

    And girls don't dig incest.

i dont understand what the two other friends had to do with anything in the first place. if YOU'RE going out with HER...the other two people are totally irrelevant. she sounds gay. i say that about a lot of girls that people talk about on here..but. that girl actually sounds like she's making up reasons not to go out with you. man. i hate girls. remind me to never go lesbian.

Frasbee hit the nail on the head.

As for saving a friendship, like someone said, they're overrated. I rather take the chance and risk the friendship for a possible chance of lifetime happiness.
