Deeper meaning?

If I ask a girl, "Hey would you like to go to lunch Thursday or Friday?", and shes says "I work Friday and I'm supposed to go to the fair Thursday but if I don't end up going sure I'd love to!", was that a passive rejection?

I have been spending a lot of time with her recently, and we even hung out last weekend with our friends (she invited me, and even texted me "where are you lol?" when I was running late), and later she told her friends she was "so happy I showed up". I am just trying to read her mind lol. I hate not knowing what she really thinks about me.

Some of her friends say she has been talking about me a little. But she just got over a relationship and is still sad, and I have been trying to cheer her up and sweep her off her feet, but I can't tell if its working.

She has to work Friday. She's busy Thursday, if she can change her plans, she' d love to spend time with you. Stop overthinking! Some people actually say what they mean.
