What to do when shes not over her ex?

Hey girls, Im wondering from a female perspective what do you think I should do?

Theres this girl in a few of my classes and she broke up with her boyfriend around 4 months ago, she was telling me how he cheated and always made her feel ugly and down about herself even though she really is beautiful. Shes told me loads of times shes really into me and we always hook up when we are drunk, and she asks me out all the time but cancels. I told her that I know shes not over her ex and Im not getting involved. anyway 2 days later she told me she really is over him and asked me to go for drinks with her. anyway the day we where ment to meet she text me saying, Im not sure that I want this any more i have to much work to be doing and I dont want any distractions. Im pretty sure she still isnt over her ex (who does have a gf). How can her feelings about me and her ex change in two days? would you agree shes not over him? I really like her alot but I cant see us being together as I think im 2nd best to him? should I just walk away or keep comunication open and just see what happens and give her time and space?

She is definitely not over her ex. I bet money on it she is still in contact with him, or is stalking him. It is also quite possible he just got in contact with her telling her he is regretting their breakup and things are not so peachy with this new GF. This would explain the 180 degree turn on her decision with you. Those are some lame ass excuses and I wouldn't buy it if I were you. Anyways she has baggage and you should just forget about her.
