Girl at work

Hey guys, I'm from UK Manchester and currently in a situation with a girl at work who I've liked for over 4 months now. I'm 18, she is 19. Her name is Melissa. I consider myself to be average looking but don't have too much experience with girls but can still hold a decent conversation, it's just speaking about things like this to her would be hard.

Firstly I remember the first day at work she greeted me with a smile and we began to talk about all sorts of things, after about a month of working there I started to like her alot, but I just thought she was too outta my league I guess and just threw it off and just carried on as normal.

However recently she has been acting different towards me, as I overheard a conversation between her and her mate at work talking about me and then the friend said "You really like him don't you" at that point I didn't catch the rest of the conversation as I wasn't meant to be there at the time so I headed off back to what I was meant to be doing.

Another would be her and our manager were talking and kept looking up at me and it was obvious they were talking about me, later on when I went up to the manager he told me I should get her number, I was like nah nah she too good for me haha and just walked off, then 10 minutes later my manager gave me her number, which I lost it, yes I know that's bad but I really regret losing the number haha.

Another would be everyone at work was saying who they fancied the most at work and at the time I wasn't there but later on in the day I was there and someone told me about it and asked me who mine was, I was like hmmmm I'd rather not say, then she told me like who everyone else said and she said Melissa said me, I was proper happy at the time and I said Melissa.

She has also said not directly to me but other people tell me that she has said she likes me.Also she keeps asking other people at work whether they fancy me too, I dunno if that has got anything to do with it. Also like a month ago my manager asked her something and she said I was too good looking for her.

At the end of the day I've been in this situation before, but with women I'm not interested in, however this time I'm 100% interested and I don't want this chance to pass and forever dwell on it.

I just don't know which would be worse finding out she was only joking, or forever dwelling on it, but I knowing that she was serious would be great.

I don't really wanna go into TOO much detail as you never know she could actually be reading this now, and how embarrasing would that be.

I currently plan to next week ask her directly whether she likes me or not, just wondering what's everyones take on this story? Thanks

for some girls its a big turn on when guy acts like hes hard to get..once the guy becomes their pet they suddenly get turned off....
If I would be in your place I would let her know that I am interested in her but at the same time stay away till shes actually herself will ask you out...
