There is a man I met through friends just small talk nothing major. I am 5'1" shy and he is 5'6" outgoing but not the loud type. Later on when I left he ask me for a hug. Do men normally hug a woman he just met? We seen each other few days later we talked more but I notice he hung out more with me than with his guy friends. He likes joking and teasing me and I caught him starring into my eyes as we passed by each other he did not say a word I looked back gave him a smile. He gave me another hug this time he held me closer with both arms around me at my lower back/ waist. He does not care to be affectionate with people around. What is this guy thinking we just met does he want to be just friends or does he like me more than friends.

In short: It is not all that common, and guys don't just give hugs out left and right. If he hugged you, he likes you. Period.

Thanks I know we just met but I like him too and he is so sweet. I am usually really shy but I a comfortable around him. I like he is confident even though I think shy men are really adorable. He is not afraid approach me and show affection like that he is moving faster and being bold. That he is not too tall he is at the perfect height.
