You can't ... they have to realize it for themselves ...

But it can also depend on how close you are with that person and the level of respect they have for your judgement. You can try for a heart to heart conversation, but in the end, they will probably prefer to hang out with who they feel is "cool" or exciting.

I agree with shorty. People are allowed to choose their friends. All you can do is voice you concern and/or disapproval, and then you will have to decide if a person who hangs around a bad crowd is the person you want to call a friend.

everyone has a bad friend... as for me, i have many.

secondly this is your friend and you are his... you are not his father so if he wants to make the wrong choices in life, you can tell him kindly. keep in mind that he probably won't listen.
