My gf is hanging out with her ex.

My girlfriend and I were having a fight one day and we decided not to talk for the night and just talk the next day. Come to find out the next day she tells me that she hung out with her ex who she has told me she wouldn't hang out with, but she did because she needed someone to talk to and her best friend had plans. I was really hurt at first, but we had been struggling lately because I had been having some jealousy issues. Do I have a right to be uncomfortable with her talking to and hanging out with her ex? Her two best friends don't like her ex at all and strongly advised her not to hang out with her but she did anyways. I'm the only one that's said not to go hang out with her.

It caused a fight and we almost broke up over it. My question is what should I do in this situation? Her ex has a girlfriend, but was it wrong of my girlfriend to go hang out with her ex without talking to me about it first on a night when we were fighting?

I need someone to talk me thru this. The arguments over, but I just want an outsider's perspective.

the way i look at it is your ex is only person who knows you inside out, thus might bring more insight to a situation knowing your flaws, instead of a stranger hearing only one side of the story.
