So I met this girl on a online site about a year an a half ago and we both really like each other, we both talk every day, we have seen photos of each other but...is it all this worth it? I dont know how or even if people that meet on forums, if it ever works out? We live kinda far away and we are both cant get away from work and school for atleast another year.(could be more) I like her but i dont know where to go from here? {ya kinda understand what im asking?} Has anyone been in this position?

I met my girlfriend through an online videogame in the early summer of last year. (yes im talking about WoW)
She lives in England and has a university course. I live in The Netherlands and am finishing up my university course.

We fell in love, met up, fell in love some more, met up some more and are now making plans for me to move to England later this year when im done with university. We see eachother about 2-3 weekends a month. (cheap airline tickets are awesome btw)

So in my opinion: Try to meet up and have fun, see where it goes. If you both REALLY want to be together then there will be a way. Just gotta find it. *cue cheesy music*

Unless you are chatting with someone close to you or you are older and are open to moving I dont think meeting people online is worth it. It just seems like a waste of time to chat with someone that you will never meet since all relationships need some sort of physical contact, you will NEVER truly know someone through the internet.
I view online chatting as just something to do, I rarely see it progressing more than that. I dont set aside time to talk to people online.

I honestly do believe that meeting people online can work but it is rare especially at a younger age.

I have been tempted to meet some online friends, but I never can quite take the step. Probably the most likely person I would meet would be misombra. I can't imagine actually meeting a lover this way.
