Asking a girl out at work

I work for a big organisation and the past couple of days they're has been a girl in the cafe that I'm dieing to talk to. I only ever see her at lunch when she is with workmates.

Girls, how would you feel about a guy approaching and asking you out while your at lunch with friends/workmates. Whats my best tacit here??

Unless you are extremely confident and won't mind it if she rejects you in front of other people, I suggest you wait until she is alone to ask, even if this means pulling her aside.

If she likes you already, asking her in front of her friends would be a really good thing.

I didn't even mention not talking to her "Mr Brainiac", I was thinking about catching her as she was walking out of the cafe or just asking in-front of her friends. Trying to gauge how that would make her feel.

Still, humping a lamppost on the street outside her window maybe another option ;-)

If she already is crushing on you, then asking her out in front of her friends could seem like a very romantic gesture with the added benefit of making her look desireable in front of her friends. If she doesn't think of you in that way or hasn't even considered the possibility, it could be very awkward.

Have you at least made eye contact? Has she given you any kind of encouragement?

Anyway, her being single would greatly increase his chances of getting a "Yes" out of her, saving him the pain and humiliation of a public rejection.
